As a master barber, JT excels in old-school barbering techniques, offering clients everything from high and tight cuts to temp fades, along with classic straight-edge shaves and relaxing scalp massages. His precision and attention to detail ensure that every client leaves looking and feeling their best.

Beyond the barber chair, JT serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Mateo House of Beauty. In this role, he oversees all behind-the-scenes operations, with a focus on promoting the business and refining its brand and image. JT’s expertise in business management and brand development plays a crucial role in the success of Mateo House of Beauty.

In addition to his work at Mateo House of Beauty, JT runs a successful advertising and design business. Over the years, he has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Fonterra Brands USA, AAA of Southern New England, the South Korean Embassy, Ocean Spray, DeCecco, and CharterCARE Health Partners, among others. On a personal level, JT is deeply devoted to his family. He shares a loving home with his husband Mateo and takes great pride in his children, who have grown into successful, focused young adults. JT’s personal interests are as varied as his professional ones; he is a horror film buff, and he manages a lively private farm with donkeys, goats, pigs, and assorted fowl. His home is equally vibrant, filled with four dogs, parrots, and a tortoise.

A hands-on creator, JT enjoys building and crafting structures from scratch, both for his property and the family business.
